Special Qualifications
In 1973, 9to5, National Association of Working Women, was founded as a national, nonprofit organization. During the past 30 years, it has earned a solid reputation for providing expertise on a variety of workplace issues such as sexual harassment, communication skills, balancing work and family, job training and retention. Its experts are respected by working men and women at all levels including top management. Members of the 9to5 staff are frequently invited by policymakers to provide expert testimony on workplace issues. They have served on the Governor's Task Force on Sexual Harassment in New York, the Legislative Council on Sexual Harassment in Wisconsin, and the Mayor's Task Force on Sexual Harassment in Atlanta, Georgia. Every year we advise thousands of workers about their rights regarding sex discrimination and sexual harassment through our toll-free national job problem hotline. In addition to counseling workers, we also advise scores of employers to help them develop and implement new workplace policies, and resolve personnel issues.
