Press Conference: Women Workers Deserve Better

On Monday, 10/24/11, 9to5 Milwaukee members and staff stood outside a local Wal Mart to address a bill that would hurt women in Wisconsin. In an effort that mocks the real need for job creation. Wisconsin state Republicans are trying to advance a bill (SB 202) that would remove the "Enforcement" part of the Equal Pay Enforcement Act. This bill would repeal the ability for women who've been discriminated against on the job to plead their cases in circuit court, and would set a dangerous and unnerving precedent for women trying to fight for equal pay.
