Street Heat: 9to5 Los Angeles takes action for paid sick days
On Aug. 26, our Los Angeles team collected nearly a hundred petition signatures, as part of 9to5's national Day of Action: Healthy Workplace, Paid Sick Days NOW!
On one of the hottest days of the year, 9to5 members turned out in force at downtown metro stops, on busy corners, and outside libraries.
We raised awareness and support for the Healthy Families Act, federal legislation which would allow most workers to earn up to 7 paid sick days per year.
You too can take part in our national campaign for paid sick days!
so that workers are not forced to choose between the family they love and the job they need.
