Friday, May 14, 2010 -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger unveiled a revised $83.4-billion budget plan that would eliminate the state's welfare-to-work program (CALWorks), most child care for the poor, and cut one third of the funding for in-home healthcare for the elderly and disabled.

Monica Mitchell, 9to5 Los Angeles intern, was interviewed by KABC-TV Los Angeles Channel 7 for the 6 o'clock news, at a noon rally at the Governor's L.A. Office.   9to5 joined other groups in the Health and Human Services Network of California to take a stand for a fair budget.
