Poor People's Education/ Action Days

The Hunger Coalition, Up and Out of Poverty NOW are hosting the 30th Annual Poor Peoples Day Assembly in an effort to bring awareness to the issues such as poverty, racism and war. The two day event will consist of a community education day on Wednesday Feb 10th and conclude with a day of action on Thursday Feb 11th. Atlanta 9to5 Organizer Shyria Coleman will present information about the campaign to increase the minimum wage in Georgia during a plenary discussion on Education Day; the chapter will also participate in the caravan and other activities scheduled for the day of Action. We will need your help to decorate our float for a caravan and we need you to join us at the rally which will be held at the state capital.
