Jump Start Your New Year with Atlanta 9to5

2009 is barley behind us, and 2010 looks BRIGHT with opportunities...

Join us at the January Chapter meeting. You will meet other 9to5 members, hear updates about the chapters legislative campaigns, the 2010 Election Connection project, and other upcoming chapter events like the MLK Day parade and Poor Peoples Day.

Please remember friends are always welcome. When you bring a friend or two, you help recruit new members to support our movement. The more members we have, the stronger our base of collective voices sound in the policy making corridors of the Georgia General Assembly and the National Congress. The strength of our base and the volume of our voices builds POWER! We can gain the changes we want to see in public policy if we work together with allies who support our campaigns and 9to5's vision for economic justice for working women.

We want you to JUMP START your new year with 9to5.  You can help make 2010 the year that Georgia raised state MINIMUM WAGE and provided all its working citizens with job protected family leave time! The needs of Georgia's working families is at the heart of our work and we need your help to accomplish our #1 goal to gain economic justice for working women & their familes. * sign up for the ABC’s of POWER & citizens ADVOCACY training with Women in the Halls (W.I.T.H.) .  All  trainings are Wednesday mornings 9AM. Citizen lobby activity immediately follows each training

* sign up for 9to5’s unique messaging & advocacy training workshop (date & time -TBA) designed to help you learn the skills needed to advocate for progressive workplace policies. Come Learn how how to communicate with the media & your local elected official, tips on talking to friends, neighbors and co-workers about our issues, and how to navigate under the gold dome.
