Valentine's hearts that say love the census

Here at 9to5 Milwaukee we LOVE the census because it ensures communities get our fair share . And this lovely Valentine's Day we're asking if you can commit to census participation. Here's why:

In 2000 1/3 of Milwaukee went undercounted which means families did not get their fair share, for programs like job training, childcare and
health care (badgercare). Men of color, immigrant families, and refugee families, were historically the least counted, so it's critical that we pledge to take the census and encourage all we know to do the same.

Will you take a minute to sign the pledge:

And then send it on to all you love.

We want to reach 2,010 Milwaukeeans, so we know that this 2010 census will have a more accurate count, plus funds for critical programs! The

census count affects funds for workforce support programs like job training and creation. We know how vital that is in today's economy.

Census Forms will be sent out this spring and all who pledged will get a reminder from 9to5. Thanks for considering taking 9to5's "Love the
Census" pledge!

Happy Valentine's Day,
